he fine example with high pommel and cantle is beautifully stamped in a crisp pattern of alternating diamonds overall, the warm mahogany brown color has a rich uniform patina throughout, the signature is older written out block letter maker’s mark of C. P. SHIPLEY MAKER KANSAS CITY MO NO. 88.
Measures 16.5 inches from the base of the horn to the inside edge of the cantle. $5995

Rare 1830’s saddle as the same type used during the Alamo. Rawhide covered wooden tree with 16.75” seat and 17.75” wide cantle. Leather wrapped horn with 4.5” head inset with white metal Mexican Eagle with” REPUBLICA MEXICANA EJERCITO NATIONALE”. Wooden stirrups with tooled tapaderos adorned with leather Conchos. Integral pad with hair batting. Fitted with elaborately tooled leather Mohilla. Saddle is in very good condition. Sold

TEXAS RANGER HIGH BACK SADDLE OUTLINED STARS. BOHLIN BUCKLE STRAP.
This old high back saddle was probably made for a Texas Ranger. It is outlined in silver stars and the stirrups have silver stars. Made by Blake Miller Cheyenne Wyoming. It has a Bohlin buckle on strap. Silver on seat and other places was probably engraved by Bohlin. This is a fantastic saddle to use or display. Sold

Cabinet card photo Seth Bullock Sheriff of Deadwood South Dakota. Seth Bullock is the only stabilizing force standing in the way of utter chaos. The day after Hickok was killed Bullock was hired to be sheriff. He was Deadwood’s first sheriff. When appointed sheriff, one of Bullock’s first duties was to confront Dodge City Deputy Marshal Wyatt Earp, who was possibly interested in the sheriff’s job. Bullock told Earp that his services were not needed. A week later Earp left Deadwood to return to Dodge City Kansas. P.O.R
